What is nSideTM?
nSideTM is the cloud software platform that drives your campus map editor and Emergency Operations Plan documentation. nSideTM gives you the ability to create and share up to the minute map details and EOP specifics with school administrators and first responders in both desktop and mobile environments.
Has the map or safety plan for my school changed?
All campus map and safety plan information entered as of September 18, 2015 has been upgraded to the new system. You should not see any changes to data input for the 2015-16 school year. The map editing and Emergency Operations Plan documentation process have been upgraded to meet your needs as well as guidelines set by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE).
Has my username or password changed?
Your current Virtual Alabama username and password will continue to provide you access to edit both your campus map and your Emergency Operations Plan. If you need assistance with a username or password, please have your Central Office school safety coordinator contact the Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Does this affect my school map in Virtual Alabama?
Your campus map in Virtual Alabama will not be affected. Remember, the Virtual Alabama download gives you the ability to view and share your campus map in context with other helpful layers like Weather and the Sex Offender Registry. If you have not downloaded Virtual Alabama, please visit https://virtual.alabama.gov/, log in and click on the VA Desktop Client link.
